“I really appreciate my time at Momentum and the opportunities the company has given me over the past 11 years. My personal and professional experience has far exceeded what I could have gained anywhere else.”
– Jennifer Jacobs, Director of Operations

When it comes to Momentum, Jennifer Jacobs has seen it all. Over the course of 11 years, she has worked her way up from her first job as a Provisioning Administrator all the way to her current position as Director of Operations.

On a day-to-day basis, Jennifer wears several hats. Primarily, she oversees Momentum’s wholesale account management team, addresses out-of-the ordinary issues, talks to wholesale partners and supports account managers when they need assistance.

Jennifer manages all line migrations, bulk order projects and any internal migrations that may take place between switches and provisioning servers. Additionally, she manages Momentum’s OSS/BSS design and handles OTS (order tracking system) processing, order flows, customer communications and monitors the OTS reporting.

In her time at Momentum, Jennifer has been in almost every department in the company. She says she is grateful for the many opportunities for growth that she’s had since President & CEO, Alan Creighton, founded Momentum in 2001.

“I started as a young, naive college grad and I have received so much guidance and gained so much experience from Alan and the other senior managers over the past decade,” said Jennifer.

Jennifer moved from her first position in 2002 as a Provisioning Admin to Provisioner to Product Development Manager, when she helped Momentum launch our first residential product. After IT automated the operational processes to support the residential lines, Jennifer moved to a Quality Assurance Manager position and then to Business Development Manager where she assisted in the decision to begin offering VoIP solutions.

Next, Jennifer transitioned to Software Engineering Manager, then Carrier Manager, Account Management Manager, Project Manager, and finally, she moved into her current role as Director of Operations. January 21 was Jennifer’s 11-year anniversary with the company.

Her favorite thing about working for Momentum has been to see the constant change and growth of the business. She also enjoys the problem-solving aspects of her job, continually working on enhancements that will make day-to-day operations more efficient for Momentum and for the customers who use our software.

“More than anything, I try to laugh every day,” said Jennifer. “If everyone is smiling and laughing while they work, it seems like productivity goes up because people are enjoying what they do.”

Jennifer’s free time is spent with her family, including her husband, Michael, who she met at Momentum; she says that her two daughters are her reason for being. She also loves Alabama football, Elvis and Andy Griffith.
