For a variety of reasons, including new research, a company’s decision to move to the cloud makes more sense than ever.
The research, conducted by CA Technologies, surveyed 542 companies that had employed some kind of cloud-based service for at least a year and found that vendors delivered on their promises on cost savings (98 percent of U.S. companies and 97 percent of European ones) and improved services (100 percent and 96 percent, respectively).
Some key findings from that research are as follows:
· 87 percent of survey respondents indicated they adopted cloud-based technology within the past three years, meaning the trend is gaining ground quickly.
· 55 percent of U.S.-based survey respondents reported being in the cloud for three or more years, compared to 20 percent of European respondents. But 38 percent of European respondents reported having been in the cloud for two or three years.
· 40 percent of respondents indicated their expectations have been exceeded regarding their cloud experience.
· 50 percent of respondents said the process of switching to the cloud was quicker and easier than they expected.
If you’re a business owner thinking about making the leap into the cloud, consider implementing a hosted private branch exchange (PBX) system to meet your telecommunication needs. Powered through the Internet, a hosted PBX will provide your business an abundance of flexibility when it comes to your communications while helping you save money in the process. Additionally, a hosted PBX is managed by a third-party vendor off-site, so you don’t have to worry about buying, maintaining or storing expensive, bulky equipment.
